This beautiful antique French literary is a true treasure — L’Héritage by J.H. Rosny, published in Paris by Félix Juven. Bound in half leather with marbled boards and endpapers, this elegant edition features raised bands, gilt spine lettering, and the classic Parisian craftsmanship of the era. A first edition of this classic is extremely rare and so far the only one I have been able to find anywhere being sold.
Authored by J.H. Rosny, a pioneer of early French science fiction and naturalist literature, this work represents a rare example of turn-of-the-century French publishing. The book’s interior pages are clean and evenly aged, with firm binding and only light foxing typical of its age. Ships out ASAP!
