This is a copy of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Silmarillion. This is a first editon (Fifth Impression) of the original British printing of Tolkien's in-depth exploration of the world he created: the same world that includes his masterpieces The Hobbit & The Lord of the Rings Trilogy (1st book: The Fellowship of the Rings, 2nd book: The Two Towers, and 3rd book: The Return of the King).
This hardcover book is in very good vintage condition, but there are a few flaws: There is some fading on the spine of the dust jacket, the inside flap of the dust jacket is price clipped, there's an inscription on the first page in the book, and there's some spotting on the pages. Otherwise the book is in excellent shape (especially considering the age). It's an excellent addition for any library of a Tolkien fan who loves middle-earth!
The map in the back is still inside (and in very good shape).
